SEMH Teaching Assistant - Ellesmere Port
Full-time | Long-term | £95-£105 per day
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist setting in Ellesmere Port, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, behaviour needs and additional learning needs.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in:
* SEMH schools
* Behaviour support
* PRUs / Alternative Provision
* Youth work
* Sports coaching
* Support work
* Residential care
* Teaching Assistant work
The Role
* Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation
* Building positive relationships with pupils
* Supporting students who may display challenging behaviour
* Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams
* Helping students engage with education and learning

Requirements
* Experience working with children or adults with SEMH, behaviour needs or SEN
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Calm, resilient and patient personality
* DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
* Team Teach training desirable (not essential)
