Job Title: Senior Electrical Power Engineer (Submarines)Location: Barrow, Filton (Hybrid – On-site 2 days per fortnight)We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular roleSalary: CompetitiveWhat you'll be doing:· Producing the Electrical Power System equipment and systems definition by undertaking functional design, deriving functional and non-functional requirements, defining spatial and operational needs, assessing safety impact and specifying interfaces· Authoring technical documentation· Managing associated risks, assumptions and dependencies ensuring appropriate mitigation to deliver a coherent system definition· Liaising with subject matter experts across a broad range of engineering disciplines including systems engineering, build and manufacturing, safety, secondary propulsion, naval architecture and combat systems· Opportunity to travel to multiple locations throughout the UK including BAE, customer and supplier sitesYour skills and experience:· Degree qualified (Electrical Engineering) or equivalent Engineering experience· Knowledge of AC and DC electrical power distribution systems and associated sub-system/components· Experience of working within a relevant Engineering role to industry codes and standards, with production of relevant technical outputs and documentation· Proven experience of working in complex design programmes with the ability to conduct a broad range of engineering activitiesBenefits:You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allow...
