Assisting customers as required and communicating effectively with all customers/lake/pool users, colleagues, and other staff throughout the facility. Ensuring that all equipment is cleaned after use and stored in designated locations safely and securely. Day-to-day running of activities including leading activity sessions when qualified/authorised to do so. Provide a safe environment and ensure that customers do not cause injury to themselves or others. Carry out daily cleaning and housekeeping duties of the building/campsite, aquapark/pool, and lakeside areas, cleaning & conducting required maintenance of centre, areas & equipment. Attend training sessions to maintain your qualifications and competency. Demonstrate good observation skills by keeping a close watch over the activities, and exercising the appropriate level of control and supervision. Identify water emergencies quickly and take appropriate action as detailed below: • Perform an effective rescue from the water. • Give immediate first aid to any casualty/customer once trained. • Give basic life support to any casualty/customer once trained. Patrolling an allocated area at regular intervals to control and assist customers, as necessary. Complete the L2 Community Activator Coach qualification. We offer a range of training in areas such as Outdoor Water Safety, First Aid, Archery, Axe Throwing, Climbing and Paddlesports amongst other things. The training you will be getting Training will be at Doncaster College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer. Day release. You will undertake the L2 Community Activator Coach standard. You will undertake Functional Skills for English and/or Maths if needed.
