Description Wincanton operate on behalf of Breedon Cement to provide transport for both bulk powder and palletised deliveries. The contract has a nationwide delivery area with key distribution points at Dagenham, Hope Valley, Runcorn, Walsall and Port of Blyth. We are currently recruiting for category CE lorry driver to operate a curtain-sider collecting and delivering palletised cement products for the construction industry. The position is based at our Dagenham depot. The successful candidate would need to ensure that deliveries are made on time and that legal compliance is always adhered to. All Wincanton employees must follow strict adherence to company health & safety policy and procedure. We also operate bulk powder tankers from the Dagenham depot. Whilst the majority of your work would involve making palletised deliveries, there is an expectation that the successful candidate would be flexible and operate a powder tanker when necessary. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products, servicing the Construction sector. Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail. Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times. Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements (opt out available). Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, completion of dynamic risk assessments, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident and damage reporting. To ensure contractual key performance indicators are achieved Attend any relevant training as required to ensure you remain fully equipped to perform your role effectively and to assist in the development of continuous improvement. Keep the vehicle you use clean, tidy and well cared for, so it is ready to be use the next day. What will you bring?
