We’re looking for someone who can sell our digital products - not just nod along in demos, but properly sell.
You’ll own the pipeline for our growing suite of digital platforms:
Brand Manager – our white-labelled web-to-print storefronts
Tracker – dynamic PDF delivery for things like prospectuses and campaign packs
VISIA – a no-code mobile app platform for member comms, events, and engagement
These products already work. They’re live with clients in HE, membership, the charity sector and beyond. What we need now is someone who can take them to market properly - shape the narrative, get in front of the right people, and close the deal.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Own the full sales cycle - from prospecting and lead generation to demo, negotiation and close.
* Identify and pursue new opportunities in HE, membership, unions, and public sector.
* Work closely with our project and product teams to understand the tech - and sell it with credibility.
* Manage your pipeline with clarity (we use HubSpot).
* Represent Sterling in meetings, pitches, and events - digital or otherwise.
* Work with marketing to steer messaging, campaigns and case studies that actually help you sell.
* Keep an eye on the competition - and stay one step ahead.
* We have zero interest in charlatanism. If your strength lies in talking about the work and not doing it, this job will not suit you.
What We’re Looking For
* 5+ years of B2B sales experience - in software, SaaS, or digital services.
* Comfortable talking tech, platforms and processes - but knows when to drop the jargon.
* Confident presenting to senior stakeholders, procurement, and people who’ve seen it all before.
* Familiar with long sales cycles, framework processes, and slow-moving sectors (like HE and unions).
* Someone who knows how to sell – clearly, credibly, and without embarassing yourself on LinkedIn.
* UK-based, with willingness to travel for key meetings (we’re based in Kettering).
