We are recruiting for a Social Care Worker role at Windsor House, Oswestry, Shropshire. This is a permanent position, 22.5 hours per week, paying £14,742.00 per annum. Windsor House is a registered care home for 10 adults with learning and/or physical disabilities who require support with daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, shopping and social activities.

We are looking to recruit for Social Care Worker for Windsor House. The aim of the role is to deliver an outstanding, person-centred service that enhances the lives of people with profound learning disabilities, offering choice, ensuring the people have a voice and that their wishes and decisions are respected.
Responsibilities
* Deliver an outstanding, person-centred service that enhances the lives of people with profound learning disabilities, offering choice and ensuring they have a voice and that their wishes and decisions are respected.
* Look after service users and support their daily requirements.
* Demonstrate effective behaviour management techniques, build rapport and trust with customers to de-escalate incidents and create a safe environment.
* Work to a schedule that includes early mornings, late finishes, weekend work and waking nights; occasional night shifts may be required.
* Maintain up-to-date mandatory training and participate in specialist training tailored to meet the needs of customers.
* Understand health and social care legislation and CQC fundamental standards.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health.
* Experience of supporting adults with challenging behaviour; demonstrate resilience and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Preferably hold a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care; good understanding of health and social care legislation and CQC standards.
