Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Belfast (Hybrid - 2 days onsite)
Our client is a fast-growing technology business operating at scale across multiple international markets. Their cloud-based platforms power high-volume, consumer-facing products used by millions of users every day, partnering with major brands across financial services and retail.
They are now looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their engineering team and help design, build and evolve highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure in a modern, agile environment.
The Role
You'll work closely with software engineers to build and maintain core platform infrastructure, supporting microservices-based systems running at scale. This is a hands-on role with real influence over architecture, tooling and best practices.
Day-to-day:
* Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS
* Manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes / Fargate
* Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
* Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform
* Automate processes using Python and/or Bash
* Champion DevOps best practices across availability, security and performance
* Work collaboratively in an Agile engineering environment
Experience:
* 5+ years' experience in DevOps or similar roles
* Strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker and IaC
* Solid understanding of microservices architectures
* Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern version control (GitHub)
* Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset
* A passion for learning and continuous improvement
