Senior Commercial Manager – Christchurch/Hybrid – Up to £75,000
We’re working with a client looking to appoint an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to support both existing programmes and new business opportunities within a complex and highly regulated environment.
This role will play a key part in shaping commercial strategy, managing contractual risk, and supporting programme performance across large-scale defence and government contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support commercial activity across programmes and new business opportunities
* Manage contractual change, commercial risk, and contract lifecycle activities
* Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial agreements and bespoke contracts
* Support programme financial performance, reporting, and customer relationship management
* Provide commercial guidance to cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and stakeholders
Requirements:
* Proven experience managing large and complex commercial contracts
* Strong background within defence, aerospace, or government-related environments
* Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing contractual frameworks
* Strong financial and commercial awareness, including risk and opportunity management
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable:
* Experience working with MOD or UK defence contracts
* Degree qualified (or equivalent professional experience)
* Exposure to continuous improvement and programme governance initiatives
