Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a fantastic business in the Worksop area as they look to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Producing Monthly Accounts for overheads
2. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
3. Reconciliation and processing of prepayments, accruals and standard charges
4. Management of company paid credit cards
5. Balance Sheet reconciliation
6. Completion of national statistics returns
7. Oversee and assist in the completion of all bank account reconciliations.
8. Ensure year end schedules required for tax packs are completed on a monthly basis
9. Reconciliation of PSA to ensure correct calculation and submissions to HMRC
10. Monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts with other group companies
11. Quarterly preparation of VAT returns
12. Adhoc Payment request processing
13. Assist in the preparation of Statutory Accounts and Tax Packs
14. Processing Intercompany Journals
15. Replenishing and reconciling petty cash
16. The administration and reconciliation of Fixed asset control accounts and produce related reports for management at all levels within the business
17. Manage the capital approval processes ensuring compliance with regional and group policies
Person Specification:
18. Willingness to studying towards ACCA/CIMA
19. Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
20. Confident communicator both verbally and written
21. Communication
22. Attention to detail
