Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior/Team Leader to join our team in providing exceptional care and support within our Children's Home. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Young peoples care, particularly in EBD and LD environments, and will demonstrate effective leadership skills. As Team Leader/Senior support, you will support the overall management, and day to day running of the home, ensuring that all young people receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs and staff are supported.
Level 3 or 4 qualification is required
Driving License required for this position.
Pay £14.55 ph rising to £14.80 ph after successful probation.
Sleeps paid at £60 per sleep 10 sleep shifts per month.
Shift pattern is on a 2 on 4 off rota pattern.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
* Supervise and support staff, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high standards of care.
* Develop and implement personalised care plans for children and young people, considering their unique needs, including those with mild to moderate learning difficulties and emotional and behavioural difficulties
* Administer medications as and when required, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
* Conduct regular assessments of young people's health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans and risk assessments as necessary to meet changing needs.
* Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices supporting in young peoples care, education, medication administration, and behaviour management and support.
* Engage with professionals, young people and their families to ensure satisfaction with services provided and address any concerns promptly.
* Maintain accurate records related to young people's care and staff performance.
Experience
* Proven experience in Children's residential home settings is essential.
* Demonstrated experience in management or supervisory roles within a care environment.
* Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individuals needs, particularly for those with emotional and behavioural difficulties and risk taking behaviours.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver outstanding care.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with professionals, residents, families, and staff members.
