We are delighted to be partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a dynamic and commercially astute Legal Director to head up their Commercial Real Estate department. This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role with scope to shape the future of the team and drive strategic growth.
The Role:
This salaried director position offers the potential for equity partnership and is ideal for an ambitious individual ready to take ownership of a high-performing team. You’ll be replacing the current Head of Department, and will have the autonomy to lead, innovate, and expand the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Commercial Real Estate team, overseeing all operations and strategy
* Drive financial performance and contribute to firm-wide strategic initiatives
* Build and maintain strong client relationships across a diverse portfolio
* Mentor and develop junior solicitors and legal professionals
* Collaborate with senior leadership on business development and growth plans
* Option to bring team members with you, as we are also recruiting for a solicitor in this department
Candidate Profile:
* We’re looking for a seasoned real estate lawyer with proven leadership experience and a strong commercial mindset.
* You’ll be passionate about team development and eager to make your mark in a firm that values innovation and autonomy.
Essential:
* Qualified solicitor with significant experience in commercial real estate
* Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
* Strategic thinker with a track record of driving business success
* Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
* Experience in equity partnership or interest in progressing toward it
* Ability to bring a team or key individuals with you.
