Domestic Services plays a vital role at Wellington College, and we are seeking dedicated full and part time Cleaners to help maintain our welcoming, high‑quality school environment. Wellington College is a thriving, co‑educational boarding and day school with a strong sense of community and shared purpose. Located in Crowthorne, Berkshire, with train and bus links providing easy access to transport connections, our 400 acre estate is a unique and inspiring place to work. We are recruiting Cleaners to join our Domestic Services team, supporting the daily life of the College and the Wellington Health & Fitness Club. This is an important role within a busy school environment, where high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation directly contribute to the wellbeing of pupils, staff and visitors. These roles offer stability, structure and a supportive team environment. You will work across a varied campus, caring for pupil‑facing areas, teaching spaces, offices and sports facilities, with clearly scheduled tasks and training provided. You will be supported by experienced supervisors and colleagues who value teamwork, reliability and high standards. These are permanent positions, available on both a full‑time basis (40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year) and a part‑time basis. Working hours offer a degree of flexibility to suit different circumstances, and some weekend working forms part of the role on a rota basis. This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable and physically able, and enjoys being part of a team. Good spoken and written English is essential, as you will follow schedules, instructions and communicate with colleagues. Previous cleaning experience is welcomed, particularly in schools, offices or leisure environments, and training will be provided where required. Working in a school environment offers a unique sense of purpose and community. You will be supported with training, development and opportunities to grow your skills, and you’ll work alongside colleagues who are committed to delivering excellent service to every member of the Wellington community. In return, we offer a full‑time salary of £26,000 per annum FTE, and a generous benefits package, including 33 days’ annual leave including bank holidays (Prorated for part time hours), complimentary freshly prepared lunches during shifts, subsidised membership to the Wellington Health & Fitness Club, a salary sacrifice contributory pension scheme, and access to a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme. This includes 24/7 remote GP services and employee helpline, confidential support across wellbeing, home life, financial and legal matters and access to practical resources, savings and retail discounts.
