As a Procurement Partner you will be accountable for optimising expenditure across allocated categories and improving the financial sustainability and working capital. Accountable for driving best value for stakeholders through innovative sourcing of goods and services via a proactive Business Partnering approach. You will take ownership developing, enhancing and implementing Category Strategies. Responsible for supplier contract negotiation, finalisation and ongoing relationship management (for all contracts exceeding £30k in allocated categories). You will also be accountable for data driven procurement analysis, with a view to seeking opportunities for expenditure optimisation and creating added value.
You will have/be:
1. Experience of public sector procurement is desirable but not essential.
2. At least three years’ experience of working independently and with significant autonomy within a procurement and supply chain environment, in a similar role. Demonstrable experience of Estates and Facilities procurement is essential.
3. Be MCIPS qualified, with post-qualification experience.
4. Flexible, confident positive attitude, capable of working independently as a self-starter
5. Be able to demonstrate solid experience of collaborative business partnering, ensuring Procurement’s approach is strategically aligned, proactive and planned.
6. Strong negotiation skill and ability andmercial acumen are essential.
7. Be able to effectively influence to achieve the best oue, using a consultative,mercial and risk based approach.
8. Excellentmunication skills, both written and oral, with an ability to form and maintain excellent working relationships across an organisation and to drive credibility in the provision of procurement advice and support.
9. Be able to independently build a network (both internally and externally), at pace, so sector-wide collaborative procurement opportunities can be explored and optimised.
10. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify, work to and achieve multifaceted,peting and often tight deadlines.
11. Be able to problem solve and identify potential solutions which could be anything across the scope of Procurement/ End to End Supply Chain Mapping and which focus on the oue rather than policy/procedure.
This is a full time permanent role, 2 days a week on site near Pontypridd, salary up to £44k. There is a market leading amount of annual leave, plus other excellent benefits.
