Lakehouse Nursery currently has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team. We are looking for a passionate Nursery Manager who is inspiring, enthusiastic and has a natural flare with young children. You’ll need to be Level 3 qualified in Early Years, work well in a team and be committed to delivering fantastic outcomes for young children. We are open from 8:00am - 18:00pm and we would require you to be able to work varied shift patterns between those times.
Founded in 2011, Lakehouse provides Outstanding care and education for children from 3 months to 5 years old in an engaging and nurturing environment. This former Victorian home was specifically chosen for the large gardens and proximity to the lake grounds and green open spaces which are all right on our doorstep. We are active members of our community, supporting and working with local charities including Portishead in Bloom and Turn the Tide. Sister to Lakehouse, Stationhouse founded in 2013, houses beautiful large gardens and proximity to the Marina, Library, local shops, and Lake Grounds which are all within walking distance.
As Nursery Manager, you will:
Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
Ensure that company policies and procedures are embedded, applied and adhered to by all.
Facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement any recommendations.
Embed effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.
Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources which are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Promote a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice throughout the nursery.
Manage any complaints or concerns raised in a thorough and timely manner and inform senior management.
Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
Participate in all activities related to nursery publications, advertising, public relations, the web site, and other marketing activities designed to promote the nursery.
Promote positive relations with an approachable manner and time to listen to your team.

As Nursery Manager, you will need:
Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - Essential
Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
Over 1 year’s experience of working in a management position - Desirable
Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
