FinTech RS are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Project Engineer based in Bridge of Don. This is a permanent, full-time position, with Hybrid working available. Main duties include: Planning operations in conjunction with client representatives Communicating progress of operations through liaison with clients on a regular basis Ensuring that all client expectations are delivered Following up customer enquiries and demands promptly Cultivating and develop good customer relations Planning and monitoring the contract budgets and costs Managing the selection and requisition of all plant, equipment and materials on the contract Optimising deployment and performance of HR to achieve or exceed performance targets Communicating progress and any operational difficulties and commercial implications to the customer Managing negotiations with the Customer where any variations and changes to contract carry commercial implications Communicating the progress, variations and costs of the contract to the customer and company management and suggest improvements and efficiencies. Planning, and monitoring the requisition and expedition of all resource requirements including material, equipment and personnel (including subcontractor services) Liaising with the HR and platform team regarding resource requirements and mobilisation of personnel Ensuring co-ordination of shipments to worksite through logistics department Promoting safe working practices and safety awareness through implementation of the HSEQ Plan, safety campaigns, safety meetings and briefings Ensuring that all equipment and working practices are monitored to ensure compliance Ensuring that company procedures are implemented if safety procedures are breached Ensuring that all hazards are identified and assessed to mitigate risk exposure Liaising with the HR Team to assist in the recruitment, induction and deployment of personnel Undertaking assessments of team members using appropriate standards of competence Managing all aspects of Industrial Relations and discipline within the team Overseeing the planning and implementation of the contract and specific workscopes/ activities Managing all activities including those of sub-contractors Monitoring all activities to ensure compliance with relevant HSEQ Procedures, cost and schedule control Providing technical support to offshore and onshore teams across all disciplines Attending project kick-off meetings Liaising with engineers to gain knowledge of future projects Raising all work orders / job cards for offshore activities Ensuring that CTRs, project estimates, workscopes, & workpacks are completed in a timely manner Ensuring that the mobilisation of personnel, plant, equipment and materials are input into client’s planning system. Working with estimating department to optimize tender values and specifications. Initiating contract files for all customer and project information Setting up and maintaining the Anomaly Database Managing growth and variations Setting up and maintaining key communications with offshore teams Conduct site visits as and when required Suitable candidates should have the following: Proven experience in a similar role/roles Experienced working under pressure and to tight deadlines Industry knowledge – background in coatings would be desirable Minimum requirement of either AMPP (previously NACE) Level 1 Certified Coatings Inspector, ICORR protective Coatings Inspector Level 1 or similar Good working knowledge of core disciplines i.e. Scaffolding, painting, insulation, Passive Fire Protection Appreciation of specialist disciplines i.e. LSA, Cleaning, Architectural, abseiling etc.
