Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for an experienced Account Handler to provide professional advice and service to all clients. You will be responsible for retaining existing customers and writing new business by the continual development of relationships and delivery of excellent customer service, ensuring that all customers are dealt with professionally and fairly.
Responsibilities:
1. Acquire and maintain knowledge of Insurance products including Property Owners, Engineering, Contract All Risks & Terrorism.
2. Deal with individual small business clients as well as medium-sized portfolios, with an overall book of premiums under £3,000,000.
3. Manage a book of renewals up to 600 policies.
4. Develop and sustain effective working relationships with customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
5. Build and maintain relationships with insurers.
6. Produce correspondence within required timeframes and quality standards.
7. Issue and process new business documents, mid-term adjustments, cancellations, and renewals.
8. Provide new business quotations and re-broking for existing renewals.
9. Occasionally meet clients face-to-face both inside and outside the office.
10. Keep accurate records and file in the agreed manner.
11. Respond competently to general queries via telephone, email, post, or in person, ensuring accuracy of information.
12. Attend relevant training courses inside and outside the office.
13. Assist Managers and team members as needed.
Experience:
* Minimum 5 GCSEs, Grades A-C including English and Maths.
* Previous experience in an Insurance Account Handling role is required.
* Client service and administrative experience, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
* Strong communication skills to liaise with internal colleagues.
* Computer literate, experienced with MS Office Suite and operational use of Acturis.
* Understanding of the broking insurance market, regulation, and compliance.
* Organized with good time management skills.
* Passion for building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
