We are working closely alongside a Housing charity in Croydon to assist with the appointment of a Service Charge Analyst, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £21.92 - £28.04 per hour
Summary:
Reporting to the Service Charge Manager, the Service Charge Analyst plays a key role in the accurate and efficient delivery of estimated and actualised service charges. You will ensure legal and policy compliance, focus on complex cases, and deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service to service charge payers. Youll also support continuous improvement in service charge processes and contribute to building resilience across the service charge setting team.
Responsibilities:
* Accurately calculate, construct, and issue all estimated and actual service charges.
* Ensure service charges comply with contractual agreements, policies, procedures, and statutory deadlines.
* Focus on complex or disputed cases requiring analytical rigour and attention to detail.
* Deliver expert and customer-focused service charge support.Respond to and resolve complex queries from residents, including complaints and disputes.
Requirements:
* Significant experience in residential and/or commercial service charge analysis.
* Sound understanding of service charge legislation and best practices.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), able to explain complex charges clearly to non-technical audiences.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent numerical and financial acumen.
* High-level customer service skills, especially in handling complaints or disputes.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant housing/finance systems.
