Description We have a fantastic opportunity on our EDF Project Resource Framework, to be involved in the exciting challenges associated with the UK’s nuclear power station. EDF are the sole nuclear power station operator and as such you can work in unique teams at the start of a new nuclear power golden age. As a Project Manager you will be accountable to the Programme Manager for successful delivery of all aspects of their assigned projects. The Project Manager sets the project execution strategy in agreement with the Project Sponsor and uses a cross-functional project team to deliver the project safely in line with company policies and procedures, achieving established goals and objectives within the agreed baseline Please note potential candidates for this role must be able to obtain and retain CTC (Counter Terrorist Check) level security clearance to be considered for this position. (Minimum 3 years residence in UK). LI-OF1 Responsibilities Identifying, implementing and complying with applicable safety, environmental and quality standards, company procedures and policies and other relevant legislative and regulatory requirements Support the Project Manager with day to day activities required to deliver work in line with the project plan including safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives. Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including Quality Plans and other documents as required Ensure production of technical specifications and support the process of contractor selection and contract placement Review technical documentation including contractor’s documents and drawings Ensure technical queries are managed in accordance with processes and procedures Carry out technical appraisals of project options. Perform feasibility studies, site surveys and liaison with designers and station engineering staff as required Prepare engineering changes and manage the preparation of supporting and affected documents Qualifications Essential Suitable relevant project experience within engineering/construction projects, including the application of project management processes Suitable relevant technical experience including the preparation of technical documentation, the review and approval of technical proposals and procedures, experience of construction, testing and commissioning activities Experience of Engineering in a project and operational environment Proven experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager Relevant engineering academic qualifications Desirable HND or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline Willingness to pursue Association of Project Management qualifications (PFQ, PMQ).
