Job Description
In this busy and varied Senior Finance Officer role based in Bradford, roles and responsibilities will include;
3. Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts
4. Ensure compliance with financial legislation and standards
5. Partner with external stakeholders to provide a first-class financial service, assessing both opportunities and risks
6. Provide financial insight and advice to the management team.
7. Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures
8. Prepare detailed financial reports and statements.
9. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making at management level
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Finance Officer should have:
10. Newly qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
11. Proven experience in management accounting and financial reporting
12. Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
13. Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with non-finance stakeholders
14. Strong Excel skills
15. Sector experience in education or non-profit is a plus, but not essential
16. Detail oriented and analytical
