The Role
We are seeking a proactive L&D Advisor / Specialist to lead and support key talent processes, including performance management, competency frameworks, and training strategy. Your work will influence how we develop our people, align capabilities with business needs, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
You will collaborate with business leaders, HR, and other departments to ensure our talent initiatives align with strategic priorities and standards such as IATF 16949.
This role offers a chance to impact talent recognition, development, and retention, shaping our performance, capability, and culture during a pivotal transformation period.
Duties & Responsibilities
Performance Management
* Manage the entire performance cycle, from goal setting to reviews and calibration.
* Design and oversee appraisal calendars, workflows, and rating guidance aligned with policies.
* Facilitate goal-setting workshops, mid-year reviews, and calibration sessions to ensure fairness and consistency.
* Provide coaching and training to managers on feedback, SMART goals, and evaluation processes.
* Ensure compliance with parent-company practices and IATF 16949 standards.
Competency Frameworks
* Develop and maintain role-based competency models with proficiency levels.
* Map competencies to career paths, job families, and skills matrices.
* Manage governance, version control, and continuous improvement of frameworks.
* Align competency frameworks to support business needs across HR functions.
Learning & Development
* Support delivery of leadership values and behavioural frameworks.
* Conduct Training Needs Analyses based on data insights.
* Prioritize learning initiatives based on business impact and skills gaps.
* Partner with leaders and SMEs to design blended learning solutions.
* Integrate training plans into broader talent strategies.
* Contribute to early careers initiatives.
Reporting & Analytics
* Monitor and report on talent metrics such as completion rates, ratings, and competency coverage.
* Provide insights to enhance engagement, fairness, and process efficiency.
* Ensure reporting systems support data accuracy and audits.
Collaboration & Support
* Work with HR, Talent Acquisition, Quality, and global teams to align processes.
* Support business engagement through guidance, training, and communication.
* Assist in implementing talent management processes in a fast-paced environment.
Personal Specification
* Proven experience in Talent Development or L&D advisory roles.
* Hands-on experience with performance management systems, competency frameworks, and learning strategies.
* Strong stakeholder coaching and influencing skills, including with senior leadership.
* Ability to navigate matrix organizations and collaborate globally.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interpret data for decision-making.
* Strong project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO standards, or manufacturing/engineering environments is highly desirable.
