The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a solid background in groundworks and civil engineering

This position offers a hybrid working pattern, combining home-based work with regular site visits across Berkshire and Oxfordshire.
You’ll play a key role in managing the financial performance and commercial delivery of projects, ensuring profitability and compliance across all stages.
Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of the commercial management of assigned projects.
Oversee cost control, forecasting, and cash flow throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and submit valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
Manage subcontract procurement and payment processes.
Ensure all contractual obligations, notices and records are maintained accurately.
Lead on re-measurement, variations, and value engineering to maximise entitlement.
Produce accurate monthly CVR reports and profit projections.
Support the Commercial Manager on wider commercial initiatives.
About You
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks or civils contracting.
Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contracts.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel & Outlook).
Commercially astute, detail-driven, and confident working independently.
Degree in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management (or equivalent).
Full UK driving licence – travel between home, sites, and office required.
