Role Overview
Milk Education is seeking an experienced KS1 Teacher to join a supportive, two‑form entry primary school in the L32 area. This role is ideal for confident practitioners with strong Key Stage 1 knowledge who are able to lead a class independently and deliver high‑quality teaching and learning.
You will take full responsibility for a KS1 class, providing a structured, engaging, and nurturing learning environment that supports pupils’ academic progress, confidence, and emotional development.
Classroom & School Support
1. Two‑form entry primary school within the local community
2. Experienced Classroom Teaching Assistant working alongside you
3. Additional SEN Teaching Assistant support
4. Supportive senior leadership and collaborative KS1 team
Key Responsibilities
5. Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
6. Lead the classroom confidently, maintaining clear routines and high expectations
7. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN
8. Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and emotional wellbeing
9. Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress, contributing to reporting and planning
10. Support pupils with early literacy, phonics, writing, and numeracy
11. Work collaboratively with colleagues, the SENCO, and senior leadership
What We’re Looking For
12. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
13. Proven experience teaching within KS1
14. Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and child development
15. Experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable
16. Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
17. A proactive, nurturing, and reflective approach to teaching
18. Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
