Material Buyer - AOG Desk

British Airways takes pride in connecting Britain with the world. We’re looking for a materials buyer to support critical/AOG material issues across our 24‑hour desk.
Responsibilities
* Work directly with aircraft component and logistics providers worldwide to ensure supplier performance meets business needs.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, suppliers and customers in a timely and accurate manner.
* Prioritise, plan and organise tasks as part of set objectives, ensuring reporting lines and departmental objectives are met.

* Confidence in influencing and communicating with customers, both internal and external.
* Good financial acumen, commercial skills and awareness.
* Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining standards.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education & Experience
* Education to Level 2 (or equivalent).
* Good knowledge of BA Engineering IT systems, including EWS/SAP.
* Good awareness of Airworthiness Requirements and component documentation.
* Supplier management experience.
