Sheephouse is an exceptional nursery and out of school club providing innovative creative play opportunities and tailored care to 54 children each day. We are known for our fun, sociable, nutritious and tasty mealtimes which are at the heart of Sheephouse.
You will play a valued and essential part in ensuring that all of our children enjoy deliciously hearty and culturally varied home-cooked food on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards and Settling the Table guidance and allergen requirements
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Collaborate with our childcare team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Assist with stock management and ordering supplies as needed
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
* Ensure all food allergens are managed safely
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a culinary role, preferably in a nursery, restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Familiarity with food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
You will play a vital role in ensuring that our children receive delicious, vegetable rich and high-quality meals. Pay: £12.60-£13.60 per hour
