Marketing Assistant
Location: Blackburn
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Thursday 09:00 – 17:00 | Friday 09:00 – 16:00 (Unpaid lunch break of 30 or 45 minutes, at the candidate choice)
Contract: Full-time, on-site (no hybrid options)
Interviews: Two-stage process – candidates will be required to present a design portfolio at the first stage

Purpose of the role
The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Marketing Manager to support the delivery of creative marketing activity across all areas of the business. This is an exciting opportunity for a design-focused, digitally skilled individual who enjoys producing engaging visual content and contributing to brand development. You will be responsible for creating digital and print marketing materials, managing social media content, assisting with campaign delivery, and helping to enhance the company’s online and offline presence.
Core skills & competencies
* Strong design and creative ability with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
* Confident producing and editing short videos using Premiere Pro or After Effects
* Experience creating digital and print marketing materials such as brochures, datasheets, and event graphics
* Understanding of digital marketing principles and content creation for web, email, and social media
* Awareness of SEO, analytics, and paid digital advertising (desirable)
* Experience using Mailchimp and WordPress
Key responsibilities
Marketing Campaign Support
* Assist in planning and delivering marketing campaigns across multiple business areas
* Design and format marketing collateral including brochures, datasheets, presentations, and exhibition materials
* Produce and edit engaging short videos for campaigns, case studies, and social media
* Schedule and post content on social media channels in line with the marketing calendar
* Support email marketing campaigns from design to delivery and performance tracking
* Assist with events and exhibitions – preparing materials, visuals, logistics, and post-event communications
Digital Marketing
* Maintain and update website content, including visuals, case studies, and product updates
* Monitor and report on digital campaign performance and engagement metrics
* Support SEO and online visibility improvements
* Assist with paid advertising campaigns as required
Sales & Collateral Support
* Develop supporting materials for sales and business development teams
* Update presentations, case studies, and marketing assets
* Maintain an organised image library and digital asset management system
* Ensure brand consistency across all communications and divisions
Research & Reporting
* Conduct market and competitor research to inform marketing initiatives
* Gather and analyse data to support campaign evaluation and reporting
Collaboration & Administration
* Working closely with the Marketing Manager and divisional leads to align marketing priorities
* Communicate progress and ideas proactively
* Ensure GDPR compliance and maintain accurate marketing records
