Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of successfully running the restaurant kitchen
* Organise and supervise all kitchen staff, delegate tasks
* Maintain responsibility for the restaurant's food hygiene rating (EHO inspection)
* Ensure all food complies with San Carlo food specifications
* Adhere to allergen policies, train the team accordingly
* Perform any kitchen role as needed
* Achieve KPI targets
* Recruit, train, and develop the kitchen team, fostering succession planning
* Promote team development, led by Sous Chefs
* Lead talent planning within the kitchen team
* Ensure health and safety compliance and company policies
* Maintain good relationships with front and back of house teams
* Manage staff rotas, holidays, and absences
* Represent the company at industry events and engage with stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience as a Head Chef in a similar-sized restaurant
* High attention to detail
* Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills
* Experience in inventory, supply chain management, and scheduling
* Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
