Role Overview
This role is part of our Saab Seaeye business unit in Fareham. As part of the Electronics team you will lead and develop design solutions for electronic/electrical products used in underwater vehicles, aligning with the company’s business needs through innovation, creativity and professionalism. Your responsibilities may include leading projects to coordinate activities across Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, Sales and Logistics.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and development of new Electronics designs
* Comfortable with novel designs with quantified acceptable risks
* Design for LVD/EMC Compliance
* Development of requirements specifications and test procedures
* System level integration and testing
* Work with minimal supervision or within project teams
Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with extensive professional experience.
* Experience of full‑lifecycle design and development with change management applied: from concept to end of life.
* Experience in DC to DC converters.
* Mixed signal electronic design.
* Microprocessor system design.
* Board layout principles.
* Interface buses and protocols including I2C, SPI, RS485, CAN and Ethernet.
