Job description
We are looking for a passionate and caring early years / forest school practitioner. You will act as a key worker within our setting working closely as part of the team under the direction of the manager to provide safe, inspiring, high quality care and education.
Main Roles
* Promote our forest school ethos with a learner-centered approach
* Promote high standards of quality within the Kindergarten in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
* Assist with the planning of the curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for guidance.
* Plan and set up inspiring daily activities and hands on learning experiences offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play opportunities.
* Act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met.
* Ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures.
* Support meal times within the setting.
* Actively participate at team meetings, planning meetings and appraisal meetings.
* Attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for personal development.
* Be aware of and adhere to all the setting's operational policies and procedures.

Person Specification
Essential criteria:
* Level 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent.
* Passion for nature and outdoor education
* Previous experience of working with children from 2 to 5 years.
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* A commitment to continuously promote a culture of safeguarding.
Desirable criteria:
* Level 3 Forest School Practitioner
* Willingness to undertake further training or qualifications.
* Paediatric first aid qualification.
