Mechanical Engineer - 12 Month Contract, Birmingham / Hybrid Working, Outside IR35 - £55 per hour

What will you be doing?
* Supporting mechanical engineering activities across the full project lifecycle
* Delivering front-end engineering studies and concept designs
* Producing detailed mechanical design documentation
* Supporting HAZOPs and other safety reviews
* Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams
* Supporting commissioning and on-site activities when required
* Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations
* Supporting equipment specification, layout reviews and technical calculations
Where will you be doing it?
You’ll be joining a well-established engineering business delivering complex projects within highly regulated industrial environments. Their teams work on technically demanding projects covering everything from early-stage studies through to full delivery and commissioning.
What you’ll need:
* Experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within industrial or process environments
* Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from FEED/concept through to commissioning
* Experience supporting or participating in HAZOP studies
* Experience producing mechanical design documentation
* Knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, valves, pumps and associated equipment
* Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
