This new initiative to Luton is aimed at supporting people who may not currently access our service by outreaching in a range of Primary and Secondary care settings. This post will look to raise awareness within the Primary Care Networks in Luton to engage and support those affected by substance misuse. This role sits within CGL Luton but also very much embedded alongside GP’s and health care professionals. You will provide support to people that have been identified as requiring help with addressing their substance misuse issues and will deliver a range or interventions and provide a package of holistic support to help build resilience and improve people’s ability to achieve their goals and build. This is a 12 month FTC. Where: Luton When: We ar e looking to get the right person into the team ASAP Hours: 37.5 Salary : £ 27,449.53 - £ 31,529.41 Pro Rata (CGL Scale 23 – 28) dependent on experience Responsibilities Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey Creating, building and maintaining relationships with local Primary Care Networks Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community Promoting carer, service user and community involvement Providing advocacy for access to partnership services Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination. About you Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field. Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills.
