Teaching Personnel is working closely with secondary schools in Gosport and surrounding areas to find enthusiastic and reliable Supply Teachers to support their staffing needs. We offer opportunities for immediate start with flexible scheduling to suit your availability.
As a Supply Teacher, you play a vital role in maintaining continuity of education during staff absences. Whether covering for a day, a few weeks, or longer, your ability to deliver engaging lessons is key to supporting students' academic progress and wellbeing.
Supply teachers are essential for the smooth operation of schools, ensuring high-quality education continues during staff absences. Your work helps minimise disruption, supports school communities, and maintains high standards. You'll also gain experience in different schools, expand your professional network, and make a positive impact on young people's lives.
Responsibilities include:
1. Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects and year groups, based on your experience and preferences.
2. Manage the classroom environment effectively to foster a positive learning experience.
3. Adapt quickly to different school settings and routines.
4. Follow school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and health and safety.
5. Provide feedback on student progress to school staff when necessary.
6. Maintain a professional and flexible approach at all times.
Candidate Requirements:
* Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Have secondary school teaching experience across various subjects.
* Demonstrate strong behaviour management and classroom control skills.
* Be adaptable, resilient, and proactive.
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Have an up-to-date DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one.
