Industrial Services Engineer Crick, Northampton £51,000 Overtime (Due to increase at the start of 2026) ⏰ 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts (currently days only, moving to shift teams by 2026) About the Role We are looking for an Industrial Services Engineer to join our engineering team in Crick. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of essential site services. You will play a key role in keeping the site running smoothly, working with OEMs, contractors, and internal teams to ensure services are maintained to the highest standard. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with experience in steam boilers, compressed air systems, and site services who is looking for a role that offers responsibility, development, and long-term progression. What You’ll Do * Take ownership of key service areas: boiler house, compressor house, pump house, and site plant rooms. * Carry out daily/weekly checks and water treatment testing on steam boilers. * Manage water treatment chemicals and spare parts for service assets. * Assist with statutory inspections (lifting equipment, pressure systems, fire suppression, etc.). * Complete preventative and corrective maintenance (PPM/CMMS) activities in line with schedules. * Perform fire alarm testing and support legionella prevention tasks. * Troubleshoot and repair steam lines, compressed air lines, and water systems. * Monitor and report on energy and utility consumption, recommending improvements where possible. What We’re Looking For * Experience operating and maintaining steam boilers, compressed air, and water services. * Understanding of building services and general maintenance. * Skills across mechanical services, plumbing, and basic electrics. * Completed a relevant engineering apprenticeship. * Ideally, membership of a professional body (IET, IMechE, IChemE) – desirable but not essential. * NEBOSH or strong safety knowledge at site level. * Awareness of Legionella, HACCP, and compliance standards. * Comfortable using CMMS systems and Microsoft Office. * Familiarity with Reliability Management techniques (FMECA, CBM, TPM) – training available.
