Role Purpose
Joining the Group Finance team to provide support in maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers. Completing administration and accounting tasks and providing support to other Group functions as required.
Key Responsibilities
Processing invoices on accounting systems
Obtaining timely authorisations for payments
Daily bank reconciliations
Check and reconcile supplier statements
File invoices and statements
Dealing with supplier enquiries
Processing staff expenses and company credit card returns
Set up new customer/supplier accounts and maintain existing account details
Review aged creditors and debtors reports
Processing weekly payment runs via BACS, CHAPS & Faster Payments
Raising multi-currency commission payments as required
* General office duties; scanning, filing, typing, faxing, e-mail, archiving
Month end close duties as detailed in the month end task list, including:
Preparation of control accounts
Preparation of monthly accruals/prepayments summaries
Post monthly journals
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Provide support to other Group functions and Senior Management as required
* Working with the wider Finance team to continue to improve controls and processes
* Liaising with external auditors where required
* Assistance with finance projects where required
Secondary Responsibilities
* Advising the Head of Financial Accounting of all outstanding and current issues
* Attending relevant training courses as and when required
* Maintaining high levels of personal development

Essential Qualifications
* 5 GCSE Grade A-C (must include Mathematics and English)
* In the process of studying towards, or appetite for studying towards AAT.

* Completion or working towards the IOC (Investment Operations Certificate) qualification.

* Previous experience in an administrative or finance role.
