Job Title: Site Engineer
Location: HS2
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6-8 months minimum
Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join an HS2 scheme on a minimum 6-8 month contract. The successful candidate will have strong experience delivering earthworks and drainage packages on large-scale infrastructure projects. Previous HS2 experience is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out and overseeing earthworks and drainage works
Managing subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered to programme
Quality assurance, inspections, and maintaining accurate site records
Ensuring compliance with design specifications and technical standards
Liaising with site management, commercial, and design teams
Promoting and maintaining high health & safety standards on site
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Engineer on major highways or HS2 projects
Strong earthworks and drainage background
SSSTS or SMSTS
Valid CSCS card
Experience with QA documentation and ITPs
