Mental Health Advisor (Maternity Cover) NBK7472
26 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
A fixed term, maternity cover, post has arisen for a Mental Health Advisor at our Northbrook, West Durrington campus, and Worthing Colleges.
Responsibilities
You will manage a caseload, act as the main point of contact, and provide guidance to staff to ensure effective and inclusive support. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies, you will help deliver a joined-up approach to student wellbeing, contribute to policy and best practice, and promote a positive mental health culture through training and initiatives.
Qualifications
You will need to have experience of working with children and adults with Mental Health difficulties as well as experience and/or awareness of the issues facing learners in FE and HE. It is essential that you have worked within a multi-disciplinary team and in an educational setting.
You should also have knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and online platforms. Along with a knowledge of Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults you must have an in depth understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education. It is imperative that you are able to meet deadlines under pressure and have proven organisational skills.
