As Senior Manager, Key Accounts, you'll turn strategy and insight into action that moves the numbers, shaping how we show up in priority sectors and driving commercial results through clear direction, sharp sales discipline and a team that performs at its best.

You'll lead a group of National and Regional Account Managers who look to you for pace, clarity and drive. Together, you'll deliver sustainable revenue growth, stronger profitability and long‑term customer loyalty, all while building a high‑quality pipeline of new opportunities. You'll bring the voice of Key Accounts into the wider B2B agenda, shaping decisions, priorities and programmes that make it easier for your sector, and the business to win. Key responsibilities
Sector Strategy & Performance Oversight
Set and own the commercial strategy for the sector, balancing the need to expand existing accounts with the pursuit of new business opportunities.
Oversee the full account portfolio for the sector, ensuring growth, retention, and profitability targets are met through both deepening existing relationships and acquiring new customers.
Monitor sector performance, using data and market insight to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for both account expansion and new business development.
Lead the annual planning process for the sector, setting clear priorities and KPIs for the team that reflect both growth of current accounts and acquisition of new ones.
Sales Negotiations & Critical Conversations
Lead on high-value, complex sales negotiations and critical customer conversations within the sector.
Act as the escalation point for major commercial issues, ensuring effective resolution and customer satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders in key accounts and across the sector.
Coaching, Team Leadership & Management
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Key Account Managers within the sector pod, fostering a high-performance culture.
Provide regular feedback, coaching, guidance and support to drive individual and team performance.
Ensure the team is aligned to sector strategy and empowered to deliver against objectives.
Champion best practice sharing and collaboration across the sector pod.
Manage and develop direct reports, providing regular coaching and feedback to deliver team objectives
Escalations & Major Interventions
Act as the primary escalation point for significant sector issues, interventions, or customer challenges.
Lead on crisis management and resolution for major incidents impacting the sector portfolio.
Represent the sector at senior leadership forums, contributing to wider B2B strategy and initiatives.
Operational Excellence
Drive internal stakeholder engagement to support initiatives that drive growth in share of wallet across key accounts, and deliver on strategic programs including PiPo, App, CRM, and other business-critical initiatives
Ensure compliance with commercial frameworks, pricing structures, and governance processes
Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting on account performance and pipeline
Maintains awareness of market insight and trends, uses this and insight form networks to support and influence continuous improvement and change in what do

Required skills & experience
Proven track record in B2B account management, demonstrating success in both expanding existing accounts and securing new business.
Strategic commercial acumen, with experience setting and executing sector or portfolio strategies that balance account growth and new customer acquisition.
Advanced negotiation and influencing skills, with a history of closing complex, high-value deals and building long-term relationships.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing sales/account management teams, fostering both a growth mindset and a focus on customer retention.
Strong analytical skills, able to use data and market insight to identify opportunities for account expansion and new business development.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills at senior levels, with the ability to engage both existing and prospective customers.
Proficiency in CRM systems and business analytics tools, with the ability to track pipeline, performance, and sector trends.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence across a matrix organisation, collaborating to deliver sector objectives.
Sector-based experience in hotels and leisure, facilities management, or industry and construction is desirable.
