A great opportunity to work with an established and growing care company providing residential live-in support for children and teenagers with challenging behaviour. Their staff provide emotional support as well as helping to teach and develop the children for the future.
Responsibilities
* Based in a children's residential home in the Sefton area on Merseyside.
* Working 2 full days and nights followed by 4 days and nights off.
* Working with younger-age children.
* Supporting the child with making breakfast, getting them dressed and to school, doing washing, school pickups, cooking dinner, helping them bathe and getting them to bed.
* Providing emotional support and aiding learning and development to give them a stable and loving environment.
Benefits and salary
* Salary: £15.40 per hour with Level 3; £14.81 per hour if not; experience considered.
* £60 per sleep-in.
* 224 hours holiday per year; an extra 2 days after 2 years’ service.
* Bank holidays paid at x1.5.
* Private health care.
* Support network with further training and development.
* Petrol allowance: 40p per mile.
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements
* Living in or around the Sefton area on Merseyside.
* Full UK driving licence; own vehicle preferred, but a house car is available.
* NVQ Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce would be very beneficial; consideration for someone working towards Level 3.
* Experience working within children's homes with children.
