Location: Rockland, NY. Compensation: Base Pay Range Hourly $18.00 - $23.00; Total earnings may include overtime, incentives, commissions, and other factors. This role is part of the Rentokil family of companies.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
* Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, while adhering to safety standards.
* Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest-free environment; provide advice to reduce future infestations.
* Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales to current customers, and introduce our products to new customers.
* Ensure pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition.
* Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
* Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle (routine maintenance provided).
Essential Job Functions
* Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
* Work around animals, insects, and termites; handle mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical currents, heights, fumes, dust, and chemicals safely with training.
* Work indoors and outdoors across local climates; wear company-provided weather gear.
* Frequent movement including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
* Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as OSHA-compliant respirators as required.
What You Need
* Clean-shaven face for safety reasons (respirator seal).
* High school diploma or GED; related experience/training; or equivalent combination.
* Available to work Monday–Friday and Saturdays as needed.
* Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills; ability to present information internally and externally.
* Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and ability to follow instructions for mixing on product labels.
* Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
* Customer-facing experience preferred.
