Position: Field Service Engineer
Location: Carlisle
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering team technical service
* Working with existing team of field service engineers, demonstrate a competence in engineering disciplines
* Provide planned routine maintenance and corrective jobs on Omnicell products.
* Manage effective car stock control and timely completion of all service administration tasks
* Provide customer training and instruction as required. Act as a key point of contact to all customers in your customer ‘patch’
* Carry out all duties in a professional and courteous manner whilst promoting the company at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
Skills:
* Ability to communicate in plain English
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Working in a team or independently
* Attention to detail.
* Flexibility to support changing customer needs and priorities.
Experience:
* Proven track record with minimum of two years in customer support or customer service within a technology industry
* Should have service experience (workshop or field) working and engaging directly with customers and end-users
* Ability to quickly and methodically troubleshoot problems
* Computer literate with ability to use relevant software packages, such as Microsoft Word & Excel
* Understanding of Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry is desirable
Aptitude:
* Must show an aptitude for fault-finding
* Willing to travel as required to support customers. This could be at short notice and must be considered as part of the job. On occasions there may be a need to stay away from home in hotel accommodation as needed
* Must be a good communicator with internal FS and Omnicell team and customers.
* Must have a clean driving licence (or <6 points)
Working Conditions:
* Home Based hybrid working, will need to live within easy commuting distance of motorway networks
* Must be willing to travel throughout the UK to support FS related work
* The role will involve carrying out scheduled maintenance and dealing with ad hoc support calls, either remotely or on-site. This will include replacing parts, fault finding, performing quality and safety checks, and counting car stock.
