The post involves working on weekdays and every other weekend. We are a dynamic and progressive community hospital. As a Housekeeper, you will support the Ward by ensuring compliance with infection control policies and assisting trained staff to meet patients' nutritional needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Monitoring and maintaining cleaning standards on the ward.
2. Ensuring the ward is safe and tidy at all times.
3. Liaising with domestic staff and supervisors to ensure all areas are appropriately cleaned, including deep and enhanced cleaning.
4. Demonstrating compliance with infection prevention and control policies.
5. Assisting patients with food ordering, considering their dietary and medical needs.
6. Preparing and serving hot/cold snacks at ward level as requested.
7. Serving meals, ensuring patients' dietary needs are met and their intake is recorded.
8. Managing and coordinating meal service.
9. Monitoring service delivery related to cleaning, food, linen, and environment in collaboration with ward staff.
10. Reporting and recording any defects in the ward environment to maintenance staff.
11. Safely storing and dispatching equipment awaiting repair.
12. Assisting with the cleaning and preparation of beds.
