Being part of Outwood Academy City Fields is about bringing high-quality opportunities and experiences to our diverse school. We wish to employ someone who can provide meaningful engagement and help all children, staff and visitors thrive in the areas they work in.
City Fields is a multicultural school in the heart of the Wakefield community. Our school supports the local community and the wealth of opportunities our diverse background brings. Anyone wanting to take on this role should be prepared to challenge themselves to meet the needs of a diverse community.
Ofsted noted that putting 'students first' is something that directs and guides' actions each day. 'Because leaders set such a strong example of their high ambitions for pupils, other staff mirror these aspirations', 'Outwood Academy City Fields is a school where leaders want the very best for pupils' in whatever walk of life they engage in. We hope you can join us on our journey.
Outwood Academy City Fields has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and inspirational Inclusion department, supporting our students in the Learning Resource centre. This rewarding position would suit someone working in a school with experience of supporting the learning of students; someone looking to further progress their career in an educational environment.
You would be instrumental in supporting our amazing students, assisting them by creating a culture of success, ensuring they have a positive attitude to learning to increase their life chances, attainment and social and emotional development.
A key priority of the role is increasing the Literacy levels of our students, especially those who may face obstacles developing their literacy skills. This may include group work with students who may be disadvantaged within elements of their education. Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT) is an education charity and not-for-profit sponsor of primary, junior and secondary academies. We are a dynamic organisation, recognised nationally as one of the highest performing family of schools in the North of England, and we currently sponsor over 40 schools.
Our educational blueprint has been developed through leading and supporting schools over many years.
We have used this successful blueprint to sponsor academies and have a transformational effect on children's life chances within very quick timescales.
We feel strongly that academies should enhance the education provision of the community they serve, in addition to driving up standards and playing a central role in regeneration. This is because we believe that improving the life chances of young people is essential to developing a strong local and national economy.
We are now comprised of over 40 schools who work together to ensure that all children, irrespective of their starting point, receive an excellent education. We pride ourselves on meeting the needs of children in our care, including the most vulnerable or challenging.
