Financial Accountant £45,000 - £60,000 Based in Warrington

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the Divisional Head of Finance, playing a key part in shaping strategy, driving performance, and improving processes across the business. You’ll gain broad exposure across a wider group of companies, allowing you to draw on the expertise, support, and best-practice of a large, successful organisation.
You’ll be a trusted partner to the General Manager and commercial teams, providing strong technical insight while staying fully involved in the P&L, balance sheet, and core financial operations. It’s a genuine blend of technical accounting and commercial business partnering.
Day to day duties
* Assisting the Head of Finance with financial decision making while supporting and working collaboratively with non finance teams
* Focus in on business control activities that add value to the business
* Technical and financial accounting on a day to day basis
* Coordinate with internal and external auditors
* Review, monitor and improve internal control processes
* Financial reporting and developing scorecards etc to support strategic decision making
* Business governance, securing legal and stat compliance
* Implementing and fine tuning effective business control processes and tools
* Working with the management team to align the business control with the needs of the stake holders
* Business partnering and stakeholder management
The candidate
* A Qualified accountant or advanced active studier (CIMA/ ACCA or ACA).
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment that is changing and growing organically
* A good mix of technical and accounting skills
* Strong exposure to an ERP system like Oracle or SAP would be ideal!
