Reporting to: Conveyancing Solicitor / Head of Department
Overview
An established and reputable law firm based in the Hale area is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Paralegal to join its Residential Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal with conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting fee earners with a caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity
* Preparing and drafting legal documents and correspondence
* Opening and closing files in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
* Conducting title checks, searches, and enquiries
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors in a professional and timely manner
* Managing post-completion tasks, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
* Ensuring files are maintained accurately and in compliance with AML and compliance procedures
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience in a residential conveyancing role (essential)
* Strong understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office
* A proactive and professional approach to work
* Paralegal qualification or relevant legal studies
* Experience working in a busy high-street or regional firm
