We are looking for a highly motivated individual who wishes to extend their dermatology experience within community services. The candidate must possess full GMC registration, MRCP or equivalent. The candidate must have experience in undertaking dermatological procedures without supervision. The role requires community-based dermatological consultations and follow-ups for adults and children, as well as performing surgical procedures. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, the ability to work within a team and independently, and good time management skills to ensure clinics run smoothly and on time.
Main duties of the job
1. Follow patients, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based care in line with NICE guidelines, British Association of Dermatologists protocols, and business standard operating procedures.
2. Provide specialist advice to patients, families, carers, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
3. Carry out specialist dermatosurgical procedures, including punch biopsies, shave excisions, full excisions, and using cautery as well as cryotherapy.
4. Contribute to the service and referring GPs through developing and delivering education and training.
5. Contribute to the development of services.
6. Work collaboratively and attend meetings with the multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive management of patients.
7. See surgical and follow-up patients.

The post holder will be responsible for managing patients with:
* Mild/moderate acne
* Mild/moderate childhood atopic eczema
* Angioedema
* Tinea/fungal/recurrent bacterial infections
* Plaque psoriasis confined to discreet areas
* Melasma/chloasma
* 2-week wait / skin cancer cases

Qualifications
* MRCP (Member of Royal College of Physicians) or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years as a Consultant in an NHS substantive post.
* OR
* GMC Registered with a license to practice.
* Specialty Associate (SAS) working as a Locum Consultant in an NHS substantive post.
* Minimum of 2 years experience within dermatology.
