Hays Education are currently supporting a South Birmingham based primary school who are looking to appoint a School Business Manager. The role is to commence ASAP. The role will be Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.
Your new role
Working closely with the principal, you will have responsibility for the Finance, H&S, Estates and HR operations within the school. You will be responsible for ensuring that:
The best value is obtained for all services engaged and purchases made within school.
The administration and site teams work smoothly and efficiently.
Annual budgets are adhered to, and applications are made for available grants to provide additional external funding where possible.
Provide regular reports for the head and governing body of the school.
Line management for Admin, site, and catering staff.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have:
Excellent organisation and communications skills
Demonstrate high standards and expectations of themselves and direct reports
Experience and skills in financial management, including budgetary planning, control, and auditing
A high level of IT literacy
Experience of HR management - Absence, probation etc.
Experience with Facilities management.
Experience with school budget setting.
