Food and Beverage Assistant Manager - Holiday Inn Aylesbury
Overview
A Food and Beverage Assistant Manager is responsible for the daily management of the food and beverage outlets, ensuring that the highest standards of food and beverage service are provided to the guests. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager plans, organizes and directs the overall Food and Beverage operation, administration, marketing and promotion of the outlet, and is responsible and accountable for its profitability and revenue generation.
You will have experience of implementing and maintaining control measures to ensure that food and beverage costs, productivity, labour costs and operating supply costs for the outlet are in line with budget. To carry out Duty Management shifts according to business needs. To participate in departmental meetings to review progress towards achievement of business plan goals.
Responsibilities
* Manage the daily operations of the food and beverage outlets to ensure the highest standards of service.
* Plan, organize and direct the overall Food and Beverage operation, administration, marketing and promotion of the outlet.
* Be responsible and accountable for profitability and revenue generation of the outlet.
* Implement and maintain control measures for costs, productivity, labour, and supplies in line with budget.
* Carry out Duty Management shifts according to business needs and participate in departmental meetings.
* Maintain clear communication with the Food and Beverage Manager, Head Chef, Conference and Events Manager and Operations Manager.
* Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for restaurant, bar and room service.
Qualifications and Skills
* You are a strong leader with interpersonal and training skills and are a good communicator who is service-oriented with an eye for details.
* You have experience and understanding of food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
* You are flexible to work a range of shifts and days; open to interview discussions about contracted hours.
* You have experience implementing control measures to align costs with budgets.

Working Hours
We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year and require flexibility for a range of shifts and days. Shift patterns and contracted hours can be discussed at interview.
