Our Supported Accommodation home in Tilbury, Thurrock supports up to 5 young people aged 16+. The service is staffed 24 hours a day by Support/Key Workers, who provide support to young people in order to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of each young person and to allow them to eventually move on to independent living. They will work with young people to promote social inclusion and independent living, encouraging young people to maximise their skills.

We are looking for workers who share our values and attitudes to working with young people and who are self-motivated and model positive behaviour.
Job Description
1. To be accountable to the Home Manager and be responsible for ensuring high standards of professional practice are maintained.
2. Establishing and maintaining positive, caring relationships with young people and other professionals involved.
3. To support young people to develop independent living skills through keywork, goal setting and outcome-focused activities.
4. Building positive relationships with young people, focussing on developing their self-confidence, resilience, and self-esteem.
5. Preparing detailed high-quality monthly progress reports regarding each young person's progress which are submitted to the placing authority within deadlines.
6. Work in partnership with social workers/Colleges/Training Centres/Probation and Youth Justice / Health and other agencies and support young people to attend meetings with other professionals.
7. You will be required to attend admission and planning meetings and attend Looked After Children Reviews ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.
8. Mandatory attendance and participation in team meetings and training sessions and structured supervision.
Ideal Candidates Will Have
* Experience of working with young people (preferred but not essential).
* A valid UK driver's licence (preferred but not essential).
* A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent (preferred).
What You Must Have
* A minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar environment within the last 2 years.
* The right to work in the UK.
