Our core services consist of Project Management, Cost Management and Building Surveying, which we provide to public and private sector clients across a range of estates, portfolios and projects.
Our areas of specialism include, but aren't limited to commercial, residential, industrial, education, healthcare data centres and life sciences.
We are searching for an engaging, ambitious project manager to join our South Central region as part of our Tunbridge Wells project management team. Your role in this team would be to deliver predominantly industrial, residential and commercial projects in South London, Kent & Sussex and be a key client contact for a range of private and public sector clients.
You will be joining a small but experienced team of Project Managers who work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of 25 based in the centre of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives
* Positively engaging with customers and developing, growing and maintaining customer relationships
* Delivering high quality services and deliverables ensuring that services meet our Customer’s requirements.
* Managing projects and/or programmes to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with the business procedures
* Administering contracts as a contract administrator, employer’s agent or project manager.
* Producing and presenting to customers
* Identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the business units activities
* Managing service delivery for profit.
* Advising directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or may arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Who we’re looking for
Our Tunbridge Wells team are looking for an engaging, personable and highly organised project manager who enjoys working collaboratively, is capable of running projects and working autonomously, and is comfortable presenting to and communicating with senior stakeholders and clients.
You will ideally be RICS, CIOB or APM qualified or be working towards one of these professional memberships, and have experience in new build property, major refurbishments or fit-outs. Experience working for a construction consultancy will be an advantage for you, but we will consider those from client-side, contractor or developer backgrounds too.
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills:
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Sound project management experience, preferably in the built environment.
* Sound knowledge and practiced experience of project management techniques
* Ability to administer construction contracts as Contract Administrator, Employer’s Agent and/or Project Manager
* Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
* Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
* Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
* Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
* Excellent problem solving, negotiating, financial and numeracy skills
* Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Ability to work as part of a team.
Qualifications
* MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or
* MAPM (Member of the Association of Project Managers) or
* MCIOB (Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders)
