Job Description:
We are looking for a Deputy Peers Dining Room Group Manager to join our Catering & Retail Services Office at the House of Lords. This position requires high levels of service delivery with creativity and flair, along with a passion for continuous improvement and change management.
Operationally, you will lead your team and oversee all aspects of service delivery, supporting the Department's goals to reduce costs, enhance commercial viability, and promote a proficient, responsive hospitality service maintaining the highest customer service standards.
This is an exciting opportunity to work onsite at Parliament!
Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring the highest standards of customer service are maintained and effectively delivered through your team.
* Managing staffing levels daily according to business demands, ensuring efficient and flexible use of staff resources without compromising service standards or budgets.
* Building and maintaining a professional, agile, and disciplined team, fostering a culture of outstanding customer service, flexibility, technical ability, and business proficiency, in close partnership with chefs and management.
* Working collaboratively with food service and production teams, as well as other CRS personnel, to ensure smooth service delivery.
* Supporting the professional and personal development of team members through a robust training and development plan, in partnership with the Peers Dining Room Group Manager.
* Working flexibly across shifts and potentially in other outlets as directed.

Requirements:
* Strong leadership skills.
* Experience in high-quality, high-volume hospitality, focused on the 4/5 star marketplace.
* Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team in a busy environment.
* IT skills for reservations, emails, etc.
* Vocational qualifications such as NVQ level 3 Diploma in Food and Beverage Service or equivalent are advantageous.
