Legal Counsel (Fixed Term to Permanent)

We are supporting a leading European private equity firm that is looking for a UK-qualified lawyer to join its lean and high performing legal team. This is a fixed term contract with a view to permanent and they are looking for someone who can start within one to two weeks.
The firm has its headquarters in Paris and a key hub in London. You will work closely with the General Counsel, the Head of Compliance and the Head of Funds Legal, supporting a broad range of EMEA governance and internal legal matters.
Responsibilities
* Board and committee support
* Preparation and maintenance of corporate records, resolutions and approvals
* Coordination with internal teams to ensure governance processes are followed
* Support on AIFMD related governance tasks
* Regulatory and compliance support alongside the Head of Compliance
* Working with external counsel on governance matters
* Assisting with internal approval flows for transactions and projects
* General support to the GC across the legal and operational lifecycle
About you
* Ideally based in London
* Experience in corporate governance, funds legal, financial services or private equity
* Comfortable working in a lean, senior facing team
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Able to start immediately or within one to two weeks
* French language skills are helpful but not required
* PQE range is open from 2 to 8 years
